FYI, there's a lovely concert of Swedish folk music on YouTube with Sofia Karlsson playing a guitar body bouzouki and mandobass. It seems quite rare to hear a mandobass being played so clearly.

That was a hoot. Great tunes and such an anachronism of costuming. I particularly enjoyed the pinup on the Mandobass like it was an old B17!

There are two things to aim at in life: first, to get what you want; and, after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieve the second. Logan Pearsall Smith, 1865 - 1946

They introduce a tune and it sounded like they said Tchaikovsky but it was "Squirrel Hunter" at 19:20.

Half my family were from Norway, and this brings back memories of my grandfather and his fiddle (not a Hardanger fiddle, just a "normal" one). Love it.
If you haven't heard, please check out Sigrid Moldestad (https://www.youtube.com/user/sigridmoldestad/videos) - sorry, not much mandolin content, but a lot of Norwegian and Swedish folk tunes played as bluegrass.
And then there's Stambordet: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQw...CUG9G8Q0Xg8pQA with some fine mandolin playing.
And for more fine Scandinavian fiddle, look on youtube for Annbjørg Lien.
Lots of great tunes, and some translate pretty well to mandolin.

Thanks for the suggestions. For a Norwegian take on Bluegrass, I enjoy the Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra:

Or for a Finnish style, there's the Varjakka String Band:
