    Default Moonlight Sonata

Is there an arrangement of Moonlight Sonata that would sound good as a mandolin solo?

I should probably try it before posting, but am curious and can't play right now.

    Default Re: Moonlight Sonata

While there are some Beethoven sonatas that I could conceive of making a solo mandolin arrangement of (I've been toying around with the last movement of the Pathetique for a while now), I don't think the so called "Moonlight" would be a good candidate, mostly because so much of the first movement relies on long sustained notes and very deep bass, neither of which favor the mandolin.

That said, if someone wanted to work up the last movement as a virtuoso showpiece it could be amazing!
