Wonderful stuff, Don! Reminds me of a great old trio version with Lester Young and Nat Cole I was hearing way, way back.
Excellent balance on ordinary earbuds. And a hot trio, of course!
That said, mixing for non-hi-fi playback used to be a thing for AM car radio. If the bass tone had more upper harmonics it would be easier to hear when just holding a phone near your ear, or listening to internal tablet/laptop speakers.
But why settle for that sound when good earphones and loudspeakers (those few of us that still have a stereo) are everywhere?
