Very happy to read this. (Saw it on Facebook first, before the forum). Here's hoping to a fast and full recovery.

Here's a note the store sent to their mailing list:

    Hello folks!

We are finally starting to get a steady flow of product and this past week re-stocked more than 100 mandolins. Adam spent much of the past week setting these all up and they are now ready to ship! We expect more mandolins in the coming weeks. There are links below to some of the products that we received.

Secondly - we'd like to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Last Friday Dennis received a call from The University of Cincinnati Medical Center that they had a kidney and a liver for him and on Saturday he received a double transplant. He is doing well and should be released sometime next week. He has a long road to a full recovery but one of the biggest hurdles is behind him. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

We want to assure you that we are still very much open and functioning very close to normal with dedication to the same great service. With the Labor Day holiday around the corner all orders coming in the rest of this week will ship on Tuesday.

Thank you for allowing us to serve your needs in the mandolin community.

    The TMS Team

Just spoke to Dennis by phone. He was with some family at a restaurant having lunch and has been out of the hospital since Monday. Sounded much better than the last time we spoke which was just a few days after the transplant. Sounds like everything is headed in the right direction.

I purchased a used Eastman 614 on the Mandolin store site this month and exchanged emails with Dennis this week. He sounded in good spirits - and already checking emails!- and said heís eager to get back to the office. The Eastman arrived in three days, in perfect condition, set up and ready to play.
The mandolin world is fortunate to have him and we wish him the best.
