    Default Old Marty Stuart pics

1975 my big brother Steve put 15 year old me in his 68 VW bug and we drove from NJ down to Williamsburg Bluegrass Festival. What a trip. What an experience. Big buzz was the young mandolin kid who was just a year older than me with Lester Flatt. Steve took a bunch of pics. I finally found them in a box so posting for posterity.

I was able to show these to Marty when I did the CMAs in Nashville years back. He got a kick out of them. Told the story about getting those green suits at a pawn shop.

Anyway, enjoy. Maybe post should be "Young Marty Stuart pics".

Great pics. Marty had neck wear back then, too. Kenny I. in there, also.

Very cool. Marty was a child star. He sure looks young in those pictures. Who's the fiddle player? Chubby Wise?

    WAY COOL pics!!

Love the clothes, the shoes, the pickguard on that guitar! His hair is long, but it ain't as big as it is these days. Wow, what a life for a kid - good for him to have survived it so well.

    These are GREAT!!
Curious. Is that his “Gibson” copy mandolin, before Johnny Cash used his knife to carve in it his initials?
