I second Blue Heron. If its for a recent National guitar-shaped tenor, they made mine and its great.

Glen Cronkhite made me a very nice and very protective bag. FWIW

I will generally use either Mono or Reunion Blues...both offer a high degree of protection. The leather Cronkhite bags look very nice...for those that light their Cuban guitars with 50 dollar bills!

I have three of Glenn's cases, the heavy leather with deep padding. My acoustic survived many airplane trips in the overhead compartment. That premium style was about $350. Given that I had no hard case options, the price was reasonable for custom patterns.

I thought he had retired. The last ones he made for me were preexisting patterns, not custom. One was a copy of my first Buchanan case. The other was for my electric, using a pattern he had on file.

Blue Heron also makes custom bags.

I have a Reunion Blues gig bag that I really like. Very protective and more compact than a Travelite. Before I bought mine (standard F5 online, not custom) I looked at their website and seem to recall that they do custom bags, but you'd have to check as it's been a couple of years and their ownership/operations changed a few years ago, so custom orders may not be an option anymore.

Cronkite and Blue Heron both look pretty awesome...good luck with the search, Dan!

I use a gig bag that is made for the Taylor "Baby" six string guitar. It is a perfect fit for my National Triolian tenor.

Glenn found a successor and is sort of the gigbag guru emeritus for these folks. Nice bags and they will discount.

I have owned and still own some Blue Heron bags. I'd pay a bit more and get the Cronkite.

Yes these are great bags. Are they still available? I recall that the larger ukulele bag was a perfect fit.
