Does anybody know what chords Hot Rize is playing WON'T YOU COME AND SING FOR ME by Hazel Dickens on the So Long of a Journey disc? I hear F and C. I know Hazel Dickens recorded it in E, A, & D.

    I play that one. I think it's just the Key of F, I(F), IV(Bb), V( C) progression.

From memory, so forgive me if it's wrong (I may have the IV and the V wrong, but again, no instrument in hand at the moment...) #

    I (Bb)feel the shadows (F)now upon me
    (Bb)And the angels (F)beckon to me(C?)
    Be(Bb)fore I go dear (F)sisters and brothers
(Bb)Won't you come and ©sing for me

I do that one alot on the flattop and use a capo, so that's messing up my memory even more. #Try this and let me know if right. #Tonight I'll try to go through it w/mando.

Thanks much! I'll try that on mando when I get home myself. Now, if I could only sing like Tim O! Those harmanies are perfect on that recording.

Yep, I'm with you. Change the key if you need to to get it right for your singing. D or E or G if you need to go higher. that IS a great song, isn't it? appropriate for many different settings.

One of my favorite tunes. I haven't played it in awhile but I do it in F as well.
