If you go to this address http://tabtransposer.com/index.php
you can select the instrument you're playing (guitar or ukulele, or mandolin...) then you paste the song you just copied
You can transpose by half-tone increments or leave as it is. After you hit the 'Submit tab' button.
the page will display the chord shapes of the instrument you selected.

there are steel string electric ukes (steel for the magnetic pickups)
you can use a Uke tuning like dGbe also called tenor guitar Chicago tuning..

to be more guitar familiar,, Violin & mandolin share thr GDae tuning, or Viola, Cello, tenor banjo CGDA

While can’t play ukulele chord fingering on mandolin, you can play pretty much any chord you want on a mandolin using the correct shapes (fingerings) - and, you can have lots of fun playing a ukulele:

Wow! That was pretty inspirational. Actually one of my many favorite songs.

I much prefer mandolin sound to Ukulele, but I like that version of the song.

I'm in my Hal Leonard "Mandolin Method book 1" at the moment. Refreshing my Jr. High School Band training. It comes back quicker than I would think. I was watching Mondolesson scale video earlier and jumped ahead in the book to the G scale. I was a little lost so decided to head back to the beginning of the book.

I was reading the site reading thread earlier today. I need to catch up on the of the terminology. Terms are familiar but I can't remember the meaning of some terms.

    Thanks Mark

I really like the Walk of Life by Dire Straights. I had a driving job for awhile. Crank the radio and holl between cities. Fun times.
