Does anyone else get "steps" from playing?
I have a Garmin Vivofit step-counter watch on my fretting hand. After playing mando I always get a bunch of steps counted from playing. So I guess both my playing and fitness are getting better together!

I have a fitbit on my picking/strumming hand which does much the same. After half an hour or so of mowing the lawn it is convinced I’ve spent the time cycling!

Yes! My calibration is off anyway because I switch hands. Right for viola bc I'm a neck squasher (not proud), left for mandolin bc I can't pick w anything on the right.
I should just take it off, but I lose everything.

Yep, while wearing it on my fretting hand. Also get a lot of steps clapping at ball games (well, before 2020, anyway).
Unfortunately, the Fitbit irritates the skin under the sensor, so I pretty much just wear it when I’m running now...
