    Default Learning Mando - Udemy??

I thought about getting these....I think im more of a linear learner and need to know where Im going but want to learn with one thing then add to it to reach a goal. Wondering if anyone has taken these 3 Udemy courses and what they think of them??

    - Improv Bluegrass Theory works for Guitar Mandolin Fiddle etc

    - Beginner Mandolin Lessons - LEARN MANDOLIN FROM SCRATCH

    - MASTER MANDOLIN COURSE - Intermediate and Advanced Mandolin

Let me know when you can.
    Cheers,

I have no idea who Chuck Millar is or how popular his Udemy course is, this is the first I’ve heard of it. Maybe someone who is more in the know will respond.

I've done a couple of different Udemy courses in the past and they're ok, but they do tend to be quite slow. A cynic might suggest that they don't have that much content so they just pad it out, but if you've got the time to sit through it then I'd suggest starting with the first one and see how it works for you. The ones I did were at least quite thorough.
    I play:
    * Saltarelle Bourroche chromatic button accordion
    * Ozark 2240 Mandolin
In my spare time I run https://www.mudchutney.co.uk selling folk music and celtic themed t-shirts, hoodies etc.

When I started playing mandolin, I had good luck with courses from the following sources.

    www.artistworks.com
Mike Marshall is an excellent teacher, and the courses here are very useful.

    www.Pegheadnation.com
There are a variety of courses here, from a variety of teachers.
    Good stuff generally.

    www.HomeSpunTapes.com
I enjoyed the lessons by Sam Bush, Mike Marshall (especially the arpeggio workout), and the Bill Monroe tape.
Mandolins: Northfield 5-Bar Artist Model "Old Dog", J Bovier F5 Special, Gibson A-00 (1940)
Fiddles: 1920s Strad copy, 1930s Strad copy, Liu Xi T20, Liu Xi T19+ Dark.
Guitars: Taylor 514c (1995), Gibson Southern Jumbo (1940s), Gibson L-48 (1940s), Les Paul Custom (1978), Fender Strat (Black/RWFB) (1984), Fender Strat (Candy Apple Red/MFB) (1985).
Sitars: Hiren Roy KP (1980s), Naskar (1970s), Naskar (1960s).
    Misc: 8 Course Lute (L.K.Brown)

I tried the Improv Bluegrass course. It was easy to follow and was basically exercises, based on scales to help you learn the fret-board and create solos. Not a bad course but not a game changer.

Does anyone who has used both Artistworks and Peghead Nation have a preference which is better?

You could check Don Julia’s site, Mandolins Heal the World. There’s Beginners Corner and much more when you absorbed some of the basics.
