Default Opinions on a 1970s Kasuga Mandolin

Hello, I'm eying this 70s Kasuga mandolin. Is it worth buying/playing?

Seller says there is a plastic saddle on the bridge but that should be easily changed.

That bridge looks strange. If you intended to just replace the saddle, you'd have to check the post spacing - it may not be easy to find a drop-in replacement. You could replace the entire bridge, but that requires some careful work to fit the base to the curvature of the body. Either way, you'd have to factor in the time/effort/cost of sorting that out, into your purchase price.

As for the rest of the instrument, it looks ok, I'm not familiar with that brand and how it might sound.
