Seems like a great choice, actually.

Forget the negative people. Forget the people looking to watch and start a fight (popcorn eaters). Banjo makers use RichLite with great success. Keep doing what you're doing, most of us do appreciate the work and effort.

    Never on RichLite.

    No on 12/13th fret.

Both are a deterrent to purchase in my world

There is nothing "negative" about features deemed not acceptable as an individual choice.

    Positively unsuitable for me.

I like the look. That one obviously doesn't have the Schaller tuners and James tailpiece. If I hadn't gone a different direction would probably like to try one. Nothing there I object to. Still interested in the sound. Would be a nice thing to have playing outdoors in subzero (F) temps.

There will never be a new (or old, for that matter) mandolin that pushes all the buttons for everybody. I know I've sold some relatively high-end mandolins that just didn't have it for me but pleased the push out of the purchaser. I'd like to try one of these, even with the 12th fret join. I think the biggest deciding factor would be tone and in-hand feel when playing.
