Thread: The Flatiron 1DC

    Default The Flatiron 1DC

I am looking for information on my Flatiron 1DC serial # 93024820 Handmade in Bozeman, MT. Original case. Dark pancake
I bought a few years ago at a used instrument shop in the North Ga Mts and have never learned to play, etc.
I'd like to know the year it was made and estimation of its worth.

It's had neck around base of keys, but is incredibly rich sound.

a simply appointed dark chocolate pancake made in 1993. Likely to fetch in the range of $450 to $600 bucks.

When you talk of the neck around the base of the tuners was it broken and repaired? If so it will be worth less than fatt-dad quoted.

The headstock does look like it's cracked. Has it even been repaired?

Yes, but they told me then it may separate a bit and need to be done again.
I didn't realize how much it has separated. It was smooth two years ago when done.
It's got incredible volume and tone. I love to hear other folks play it!
I'm gonna take it back and get it done again. Then sell it. Someone will treasure it, I just can't do it justice!

    Thanks ya'll!!!

now I'm down to $250 or $300 bucks. Sorry, there are buyers that'll just walk away and those that don't will offer heavy discount.

I have to agree with others here. I have a 1mc, burgundy. The c stands for “cadet”. Very nice instruments but the one I have from a nearby year was only $450 and in perfect condition. So with that repair needing to be done, it won’t be worth much. It is worth repairing for someone though, I agree, these have really incredible tone, particularly considering the size. I have theee of them.

Thanks y'all, hope someone will want and enjoy. Fair honest price for condition.
