Default Vintage 1972 Bean Blossom footage!

Lets see if I did this correctly? This has some footage of my Great Uncle Dick Smith playing with the great Jimmy G. and at the end my Uncle Gene Johnson playing with the II Generation! Also many other greats like Big Mon, Tony Rice etc...Pretty sweet stuff

Oh man maybe someone can fix this great old footage as I'm pretty much clueless-very historical stuff!

<Moderator: I tried to fix it. See the link in the next message>

That's my Great Uncle Dick Smith on banjo and Chris Stifel on guitar-a precursor to "The Country Store Band" They had a record in 1974 that's a goodun-you can listen to it on youtube!

At the end that's my Uncle Gene Johnson with the II Generation band-he was a bluegrasser but for the last 30 years he's been the mandolinist and tenor singer for the famed country Music band Diamond Rio!

William, you'll know this. What's the story with Gene's Loar and whatever it is he has on the strings?

His Dad made it for him back in the late 60's I'd imagine as he got his Loar in 69, it fits on the bridge below the saddle and angles up as a type of wrist support so his hand would rest on that instead of th bridge hnce no etra pressure on the bridge! Its neat!

Larrys F-5 was redone, not sure who but I'd guess Randy Wood! His also has a tree of life fret board inlay! His sounded like a pretty good ole mando!
