Never have been a big fan of TS picks. Gave all of mine away many years ago, when they were completely legal. Was only playing guitars then, not mandolin family instruments. If I were wanting to reproduce the TS tone, I would look at picks made from glass. To my ears, that is what TS sounded like. Was not fond of the "clacking".

I don't remember ever seeing Pickboy picks mentioned here but they are my favorite for mandolin and guitar. They make a ton of different picks but this style is my favorite. YMMV.

Apologies to all who want to discuss the alternatives for this material. We have a long history of individuals who don’t understand our well established policies of restricting the discussion of protected species that makes the topic devolve into areas we are uncomfortable moderating. The only way to control this is with a very short leash. Sorry for being harsh, we continue to uphold our Forum Guidelines.
