Default “It’s Now or Never” Saturday Jam

Kind of putting myself out there, everyone- I just picked up the mandolin a week ago, and I thought would make a nice rhythm instrument for today’s Saturday Jam on my YouTube channel- I’ve been practicing every day and I am having so much fun playing (even if this is just chopping chords on this Elvis tune- nothing fancy)!

This is my brother-in-law’s Fender, but I’ve got a J Bovier that is going under the tree- you haven’t been this excited since I was 16 and I knew there’d be a guitar under there for me! Hope you all enjoy!

Great job Songbird. I was hoping you would do more tremelo action, as in the original Elvis recording, but nevertheless it still sounded great!

OF COURSE the mando sounds great. It was taught well by its Italian ancestors who played "O Sole Mio" until sunrise... Same tune!

    Well done!

Great job, I love mandolin accompaniment to vocals. Hard for me to make it work on a lot of songs, but some like this one are great for it. I like doing Don't Be Cruel on the mandolin as well.
