^^^ I did some pick trading a good while back and ended up with a couple of these via JeffD. I didn’t mess with them much initially but have recently put one in rotation pretty heavily. I have to say that I love it. It’s a way different feel and vibe than anything else (I usually use a reg guitar pick’s rounded shoulder). I also have some guitar picks made of that particular cellulose material from Pickboy, which is prob the best I’ve found for the sound and feel that I like.

Anyway, a heads up in case you want to try something different.

I have both Pickboy and Dogal, I like the Pickboy picks too, for certain situations. Blue Chip TD35 are my #1, but Pickboy are up there too (and I have tried most every brand of picks at one time or another.)

I’ve done so much pick trading with folks here that it’s hard to keep up with where I got what and from whom, but the Pickboy mandolin pick remains one of my favorite surprises.

I painted the fat end of my Dogals with my daugher's nail varnish for just that reason.

You could try Gallis too, quite a bit bigger than the Dogal but I like them.

I have a few of the black Pickboy 207 picks. Good, stout pick.

Caleb and JeffD, I have a dozen of those pointed Pickboys with the heart-shaped round end. Those are nicely easy to hold and give a really nice, clear snappy feel to notes played. I take the very sharp point and carefully shape it to a slightly rounded point with a fingernail file. This works perfectly for classical.
