    Spotted that one the other day; it’s featured in the Fylde newsletter. Pretty poor standard of playing and pity he hasn’t also taught himself to tune the thing. I also wish Fylde would learn to put the fingerboard dots in the right place!

    It's what you get used to on fret markers. My mandolins and mandolas have all had the ninth fret dot. Got a Breedlove with a tenth fret dot and have had to cover it to avoid my confusion.

    You don’t if your other thirteen mandolins all have dots on the 10th fret! Trouble is that Roger is a guitar builder who builds the odd mandolin/mandola/OM.
