Can anyone tell me the exact size screws needed to attach the pictured bracket, to the F-4 pickguard, in my photo?

The originals were a very short, nickel plated round head slotted wood screw. I don't recall the exact size, but they were either a #3 or a #4. You won't find one with a thread that short at Ace Hardware-- you either have to find another source or buy what you can find easily and shorten the thread. If you don't mind brass, you might find something at Ace that will work.

Try a model shop or Micro-Mark online. They have tiny screws. Here's an Micro Screw Assortment for $25. Maybe one of them might work. They do have wood screws in small sizes but they seem to be brass ones.

The Micro-Mark screws are too small.
I just did a little hunting-- boltdepot.com has #3 and #4 screws in short lengths in brass. If you want nickel, go to blacksmithbolt.com. Make sure you specify "slotted round head."

Take a look at this thread. Screws and the information regarding nickel plating.

Thanks for all your replies. I’m placing an order with Blacksmith Bolt Company.
