Default "Clear Skies" new Mandocello Quartet

For those of you who missed the CMSA but like mandocellos:
"Clear Skies" is a piece I wrote to be performed (open mic) at the 2020 CMSA Convention in San Diego. The convention was of course moved to an online virtual event, and still offered a high level and wide variety of workshops, performances, discussions and meet-ups.
Clear Skies was played by members of the LowLifes (we got to find a better name!) a group of CMSA mandocellists. I posted the score in the CBOM Thread in case you want to see the music, but I know you don't find 4 mandocellos in every household. If anyone is interested I can supply the parts; I made them easy because I knew there would be little rehearsal time. I will continue my efforts to gather and create new music for the bass clef member of the mandolin family. Please contact me if you are interested in this endeavor, and especially if you have plucked bass clef music to share.

Lovely composition and great sound from those instruments, Jim. So clear across the whole range and so much great sustain. A majestic sound!
I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order. - Eric Morecambe

"Majestic!" wow--thanks from my Gibson K4 and the other LowLifes.
Glad that you noticed two things I was particularly trying for: The mandocello has a wonderful singing upper register, it's not just for oom-pah bass parts; also, with the remarkable sustain, it does not need the constant tremolo used on the mandolin. If we use the full range, you do not get the muddy sound of lots of close very low notes. It's just a little simple piece, but I am working on more complex and challenging stuff.
    Thank you John!
