Puisque Belle dame m'eime ( Because a beautiful woman loves me) is a secular piece from the 12 century Montpellier codex, and is one of the earliest examples of the notated triplet in Western music. Inspired by the Anonymous 4 acapella version I play the melody on mandola with the mandocello picking up the bass line, doubled by a mandolin with the octave mandolin doubling the melody.
