    Default Virzi build plans?

I did a search this morning for a thread with the plans for building a Virzi tone enhancer but came up dry after looking through a dozen or so threads.

Are there any published or on-line plans for making a Virzi that would fit a mandolin?

I did come across one reference to a set of F-5 mandolin plans which supposedly also have information for making a Virzi but I already have half a dozen or more sets of F-5 mandolin plans.

I'd like just the plan for the enhancer alone if that is available. Any out there? Thanks
    Bernie

Well in that case, I could probably just buy said Guild of American Luthier's blueprint. Do you know if it has a number?

It is part of this set of plans for an F-5 from GAL...

You might PM Mike Black and see if he can help, he installs Virzi's in his instruments.

OK thanks. From your link it looks like we are talking about the set of plans by Ted Davis drawn from the Lloyd Loar signed number 73992? I see a Virzi on that set.

Looks like a good reference to have anyway.

Thanks also to some others have also supplied other tips on Virzis and the pluses and minuses!!

Tomy Hovington built a mandocello with Virzi-Tone-Producer.
Ca. 20 great videos of that mandocello build.
    Here is a short version:

The making and installing of the Virzi starts at 10.38.
    Maybe that helps.

The one that went on the back was the rare Virzi Tone Protector.
