Wow, that's nice. Really beautiful. Did she paint them?
Very nice indeed - hopefully they were able to take periodic breaks from posing to play music.
Nicely done!

My wife doesn't think she's very good, but I like her work! I'll have to practice more to live up to her painting.
I think it's a very nice gift. Good for her (and you).

She has some talent man! That's a very Kool painting! There needs to be more mando paintings in this nutty world!

There's a whole lotta love there, that's for sure.
What a nice gift.
Nothing better than a handmade gift.

Wow! She's really talented, and obviously loves you. Congratulations!
That's awesome John, you have some talent in your family!!!... along the same lines, my oldest daughter made me a clay duck playing the penny whistle along side a pig playing a mandolin; I do think it's a Silverangel and it does include a soliver armrest... She knows I love pigs ... and mandolins.

She's not alone - not that she's right about not being good, but that she's a tough critic when it comes to her own work. That pushes us to be better, but we can also discourage ourselves. Just like you, I think her work is very nice. You may be biased, but that doesn't mean you're wrong. :-)
Take a photo of a big diamond and give to her !
Looking at this again, I saw something that I didn't pick up on at first, that shows your wife is indeed very talented. That is quite an accomplishment, painting these instruments as if they were lying down, rather than the typical pose, the two propped up side by side. Being able to convey this unusual attitude so convincingly bespeaks a prodigious skill on her part. Not many would attempt this view; fewer yet would be able to achieve this remarkable vision. Oh wait, my friend is looking over my shoulder and saying something. What? "Don't be daft! The picture is turned on its side!" Eh? Oh, oh, I see it now - the signature gives it away. Hmmm ... Never mind.
