    Default Mandolin Mashed Finger Pics

I remember when I started getting calluses my Dad telling me I'd never have regular finger prints. He was right. Here's mine today, 24 days from 65. Playing almost 60 years. Lets see yours.Click image for larger version.

Mine used to be as tough as leather. With the pause on gigs here, I’ve missed about 80 gigs since March ‘20...my family won’t tolerate that amount of pickin at home, plus it’s no fun without my band
I now have soft sensitive finger tips again. Very much looking forward to ending that!

    What Montana Matt said.

No gigs, no festivals , no pub sessions, no musical house gatherings since March.

I'll just put in a plug for the Climb On bar. Keeps those callouses from hardening too much and then peeling away (what I used to call "molting").

Originally developed for rock climbers, but works wonders for string instrument players.

    NFI, just a happy user.

No gigs for sure but I have been playing a fair amount averaging at least an hour a day on some instrument, mostly fiddle. I am also participating in some online play along tune jams and a few workshops so that helps to keep me in musical shape.
