Welcome aboard, Willow. The Cafe is a very supportive community (but not without the occasional tiff). As the others have said, please tell us about your mandolin interests.

"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."

Howdy Willow! The Mandolin Cafe is a great place to be - what led you here?
I love it because it's a place where you can meet great people who are generous about sharing their knowledge and passions for all things mandolin. Also because of the incredible job done by Scott and all the moderators who help him, to keep it a sane and safe place to hang out and learn things.

Thanks folks for the warm welcome, I am a recovering guitar player that got mando fever about 10 years ago I lurked here at the cafe getting good info so thought I would join in the fun.
I have had several mandolins in my catch and release program, buying a new mandolin keeps me inspired.
I play a Red diamond now, one of his newer models .
