Is there really much of a market for a new, single-pickup solid-body electric guitar - tenor or otherwise? I get that some established models will have their appeal, but this seems limiting. The last custom tenor they tried was also a single-pickup that didn't get funded, and most of the comments asked for dual pickups.

Not to disparage anyone who values a single pickup guitar, just wondering how widespread the appeal could be.
