    Hi amigos!
I thought you may like to listen to some songs from our upcoming album.
    Traditional Spanish tunes:

And then a song I wrote, this time with a guy who's a rock and roll legend in Spain.

What a fine selection. Beautiful music and so beautifully played. Your mix of instruments is so enjoyable too.
    I love the artwork too!

I also really loved watching the shirt painting. What talent ! You could have stopped at an infinite number of places and still had a great painting. How do you ever decide when you're done ?

Thanks so much, Roberto. I enjoyed both the music and the videos.
Robert Johnson's mother, describing blues musicians:
"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."

This makes me wish I understood Spanish so that I could know the story in the song. Nice music and very intriguing video production.

I don't understand Spanish either, but I set the YouTube closed-captions/subtitles to "on" (it's still in Spanish though) and then I typed those words into Google Translate to get some sort of idea of the general vibe of the song.

I'm assuming I can't post the whole thing because the lyrics are probably copyrighted material, and besides, Google Translate is notoriously difficult to make sense of. But below is a snippet. Sorry I don't know how to make the accent-marks over the letters, so it's just plain letters in the Spanish part. YouTube captions make it difficult to know where sentences stop and start so this may be pretty vague.

Youtube CC: "alumbrar abre la puerta y empiezan tan poco importa presente todo principio en vez de un final"
Google Translate: "lighting opens the door and they begin so little matters present every beginning instead of an end"

    Last line seems to be:

Youtube CC: "pero voy a aprender a sonreir otra vez"
Google Translate: "but I will learn to smile again"

So that kinda matches what Youtube commenters said (again utilizing Google Translate, so might not be accurate), about new beginnings and such.

    Anyway, super nice music!

I liked watching them all but I really enjoyed watching the first two. Fascinating. And of course the audio is wonderful.

    Hi. Thanks for your interest!!

    Here's the lyrics in Spanish:
    ¿Es un final
    o es un principio?
    ¿Cómo sabrás
    si en el precipicio
acaba la tierra o empieza el mar?
¿Es un principio o es un final?

    Cruza el umbral
    abre la puerta
    y empieza a andar
    poco importa
salir o entrar, no mires atrás
Todo principio empezó de un final

Algo de mi se queda atrás
Me llevaré lo que pueda recordar

    La cicatriz
    es piel nueva
    Que empieza a sentir
    Y aunque duela
    Tiene ese matiz del provenir
Lo que recuerda y lo que hay por vivir

Algo de mi se queda atrás
Me llevaré lo que pueda recordar
No sé dónde voy ni qué encontraré
pero voy a aprender a sonreír otra vez

And a translation ¨(I hope it's good enough!):

    Is it an ending
    or is it a beginning?
    How would you know
    if on the cliff
the land ends or the sea begins?
Is it a beginning or is it an ending?

    Cross the threshold
    open the door
    and start walking
    does not matter
go out or come in, don't look back.
Every beginning started from an ending.

Some of me is left behind
I'll take with me what I can remember

    The scar
    is a new skin
    That is starting to feel
    And even if it hurts
It has that nuance of the future
What it reminds and what there is to live yet.

Some of me is left behind
I'll take with me what I can remember
I don't know where I'm going or what I'll find
but i will learn to smile again.

Hey Roberto, I have just discovered this thread and I really like your very tasteful, understated accompaniment on mandolin. You make every note count and support the song nicely. I am new to Spanish music and I am enjoying what I hear.
