Default The Sound of the American Mandolin

This is a great and informative video about Gibson mandolins, both pre-Loar and post-Loar.

In this documentary from 1995 Tony Williamson goes through the history of the American mandolin and plays quite a few examples of different instruments that demonstrate that history.

A highly recommended watch if you haven't seen it.

Especially good if you want to compare the tone a mando with a virzi and a mando without.

Pretty interesting just to see the 'Before' pics of Tony.
