Default Resource - Finding a Luthier

Several weeks ago I did a search in response to the oft-asked question “Where can I find a luthier in (insert location here)?”, and found this: https://www.4allmusic.com/

Don’t know how comprehensive or accurate the site is, but it appears to be regularly maintained, and perhaps it’ll help someone learn to fish for themselves.

    Interesting...
I didn't find myself there, so that leades me to believe it is not comprehensive.

    Edit:
OK, so I did find myself there but they still think I'm in Virginia.

From a cursory check it is not bad. It is very hard to keep up a site like this. Some luthiers who have retired like Hans Brentrup and Rolfe Gerhardt are still listed but Hans does have his web site up.

Guitar maker Matt Arcara is missing from Maine listings. He recently did a mando repair for me.

I'm on the list, though not listed under lute or oud makers *shrug*
