    Default Jonathan Kellerman

Worth looking at is Kellerman's novel, A COLD HEART.
The book is dedicated to George Gruhn and John Monteleone among others.
The book features vintage mandolins and guitars.
Kellerman himself has a vast collection of instruments and has published a book about them.

I have his coffee table book. I would have the move the coffee and strumpets,,,, oops.... I meant crumpets to see the title. Jonathan and his wife are multiple best selling authors. Just to get an idea Jonathan bought his wife a Loar F-5 for her birthday one year and they own a Loar quartet plus guitars. Very nice book that comes with a drool bib.

I wrote the book down on my list. I'm a novel reader, so appreciate the suggestion!

Cool - my library has it and I just put a hold on it. I'll probably have it in hand by the end of the week.

Thanks for the suggestion - description looks good!

Kellerman’s collection takes up a good portion of his manse. Last I heard he was commissioning “guitar-inspired” furniture. Gary Larkin, the cartoonist is also a guitar nerd.

I love The Rock Bottom Remainders, a band composed of well-published authors plus a few ringers.

Band members included Dave Barry, Stephen King, Amy Tan, Sam Barry, Ridley Pearson, Scott Turow, Joel Selvin, James McBride, Mitch Albom, Roy Blount Jr., Barbara Kingsolver, Robert Fulghum, Matt Groening, Tad Bartimus, Greg Iles, Aron Ralston and honorary member Maya Angelou among others, as well as professional musicians such as multi-instrumentalist (and author) Al Kooper, drummer Josh Kelly, guitarist Roger McGuinn and saxophonist Erasmo Paulo. Founder Kathi Kamen Goldmark died on May 24, 2012, and the group disbanded a month later, following a memorial concert in her honor.

Thanks for that tip! I’ve read numerous Kellerman novels, but knew nothing of his musical life.
