I tuned the mandocello Bb F D A, I suppose I could have dropped the D to C and the A to Ab.

I see your tag line quote of "Mean Old Timer, He's got grey hair....." is that a song ? and if so, where can one find it.
Many thanks
Mark
way off track here but Yes Markd, it is a song about yours truly
is available from Blind Crow www.blindcrowband.com/music
Ryan Delaney on Fiddle and Vocals, Jeff Wasbes Guitar and Vocals, Eric Margan Bass and The mean old timer himself on mandolin
I wrote the words and Ryan wrote the tune.
Blind Crow was a local Albany NY String band, we did a lot of progressive stuff like Dawg music and Tony Rice, as well as traditional Bluegrass, and plenty of original creations.
We are all kind of doing other things at the moment, but who knows.

Very nice playing of a beautiful plangent tune. When is your Mel Bay 'Erik Satie for Mandolin' coming out?
Anglocelt

Very nice!
Are you familiar with the Melonious Quartet's album of Erik Satie pieces arranged for mandolin quartet? Lovely record.
