    Default NMD Collings MT2

Hey Folks, I ordered this beautiful Collings MT2 w/torrified top a few weeks back and after waiting a week to be shipped, because of some real nasty weather most of us saw. And then waiting an additional 32 hours for a good slow warm up I got to see her. And she is soo beautiful, the pics here from TMS do it no justice. Man I love the utmost quality in this mando. I love the extra room behind the nut,YES. It plays like butter, it is so fast and precise. And the tone, oh my, it's just what a more mature F hole should sound like. Night and day from my Pava A4, different animals. Which is just what I was looking for. When I got the Pava it was always between a MT2 and all the small shops. I'm glad my first foray into quality was the Pava because it set a very high bar. Which has most certainly been met. Video soon! Click image for larger version.

Collings makes a fine mandolin. I’m enjoying my MT2 as well. It’s my second one. First was not made with torrefied wood. #2 is and there’s quite a bit of difference sonically between the two. Hope you enjoy your new mandolin. It’s beautiful.
