    Default Anyone know this tune?

I have become a big fan of Wynton Kelly. Ran across this tune today. I've never heard it before, can't find it in any fakebooks or any info on the web. Anyone heard of it or play it?

Written by Rudy Stevenson, according to Wikipedia. Can't find much on hime, except that he appears on quite a few records (studio musician?):

Robert Johnson's mother, describing blues musicians:
"I never did have no trouble with him until he got big enough to be round with bigger boys and off from home. Then he used to follow all these harp blowers, mandoleen (sic) and guitar players."

Jamey Aebersold has a Wynton Kelly book with it in it.

Very pretty tune, never heard it either.

It reminds me slightly of I Thought About You, in 3 of course. Nice tune.

Man, sometimes Scott Yanow's reviews give me indigestion.

It is very similar although changes in bars 3 and 4 happen twice as fast, then the form becomes very different.

Is he just expanding on I Thought About You? My guess is you've already been there and checked out the changes...

I was reminded of that one also, but didn't spend any effort on the comparison. I thought that since the suggestion was ignored it must be way off, so it's kind of encouraging that someone else hears the same thing.
