Default Check out my new truss rod cover.

I decided that 2021 would be The Year of the Mandolin for me, and that I’d take my playing to another level (so far it’s working). I also decided my mandolin needed a name. I’m a huge Tolkien/Lord of the Rings nerd and thought I’d name my mandolin after Bilbo Baggins’s short sword, “Sting.” Bruce Weber at Montana Lutherie did the work for me. He did a fantastic job and I think it looks amazing! Turns out Bruce is a Tolkien fan as well.

That’s really cool! Sting is the perfect name, cuts in a jam, has great chop and easy to wield.

Very nice! Does it glow in the dark when orcs show up?

If you get a mandola, you can get an Anduril truss rod cover.

That is a great idea for a mandola. “Flame of the West” (if memory serves correctly) is the meaning of Anduril.
