    Well, now! How about that? Had to look around it a few times to find it, but I did.

    I've never seen any reports of him having anything to do with a mandolin. He did cross paths with a ukulele - as did others of his generation, such as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, he started out with a baritone ukulele. It's up to others who have come along afterward to expand the possibilities of the mandolin in a way in which he might have.
