I do know how easy it is to lose a pick, and lawdy I have lost plenty. That's why my current run of good luck (knock on wood) with this one is so remarkable. I had a Little Feat pick, given me by Paul Barrere, which flew out of my hand while busking. It vanished into the ether. No amount of searching helped. The sailin' shoe logo must have helped it fly. I've had picks fall to the stage, bounce, and slip between boards into the Underworld. These would certainly seem to be examples of normal, expected behavior for picks. So I do count my lucky stars this pick seems content to hang with me. Hope I'm not jinxing it. Knock on wood!

I keep some of mine in the washing machine. At least that's where I often find them!

Visual irony! Modern picks made from a space-age plastic that replaces tortoise shell, but housed in a case (meant for cigarettes?) made of the forbidden material.

I keep them in my back left pocket. If I didn't I would probably forget them and use them, so many people have bought me little tins and stuff, but I end up leaving those at home. At least I can't forget them if they're always in my pocket.

For my instrument cases, I use some plastic medicine cases I found in the drug store. Cheap and effective. Click image for larger version.

This is what I use on my desk, I bought it 20+ years ago on a trip to the Philippines. I don't smoke, but I just liked it for some reason. Click image for larger version.

I've always been a sucker for decorative glass, and I've had my eyes on these, sold by Tenmokus. I think they're really cool looking, I just don't want to pay $35 or more plus shipping for something to hold my picks in. Maybe Santa will be nice to me this year.

I was just discussing this with a friend of mine.

I keep my picks in little slider boxes available on Etsy as Heartwood boxes. I also have a little leather "pick pocket" which was made for me at a craft show a million years ago. I keep all of that, as well as all the other EDC stuff in what Saddleback Leather calls a Leather Toiletry Bag.

The bag has gotten pretty beat up through the years, and is just about how I like it. A few more years and it will look as it was originally intended.

    Eh? That's for the wallet.

When I wore jeans, I'd use the watch pocket. That's the mini-pocket on one corner of the right front pocket, meant for a pocket watch. Now that watches are almost extinct, and pocket watches even closer to extinction, one might think such things would have gone by the wayside by now. But not yet ... not just yet ...

Today I had two picks in my (front) pocket. I put my keys in the same pocket at some point, and when I got home, one of the picks was gone. Luckily it was not an expensive one, just a misc. one that came in one of my cases. Still, it's the first one I've lost

I hate it when I lose something. I keep a pick in my pocket and when I went to play a mandolin in a store, pre covid, it was gone. Days later I found it, at least I didn't lose it forever. Ha

Inside my mandolin's f-holes, of course! The maraca-like shaking is only a bonus to the wondrous tone it creates!

In all seriousness, a small woven coin purse.

    Right? What in the world?

If you ask me, that is overkill. What's the point of having so many picks? Pricey ones, at that. I know, no one asked me ...
