    Default A4 project

It'll be interesting to see how high this goes. Reglue back seam, address any shrinkage issues, reattach sides and rebind the back, address a short top crack and missing tailpiece cover, add a pickguard, and it looks like you'd pretty much be in business.

This is one of the adjustable bridges that had an extra pair of thumbscrews on top of the saddle, although one of those thumbscrews is missing. Like the aluminum saddle, a short-lived variation. Early 20s, just before truss rods were added.

Is it safe to assume the listing has the SN wrong? Six digits isn't right. Leaving off the last digit, #68410 is indeed 1921-1922.

Aha. I see it now. The label is smushed pretty badly. Thanks.

Yeppers, up to $300 already. Any bets re: going for over $2000?

People tend to go crazy bidding on Ebay. Hopefully common sense will prevail!

Well, today's the day. Four hours left. It's picking up, but might still go for less than a grand. It's a project, but it could well be worth it.

Wow! It went for $702, a good bit less than I'd thought. Someone got a pretty good deal, there. If the repair costs can be kept under $1000, or can be done by the new owner, that's a real good deal. I was tempted, but I'm no luthier, and my luthier is too busy. It's the sort of thing I would have had to shop around for a luthier first, and hope I wouldn't interest prospective luthiers in grabbing it for his or her self. Well, it was fun to watch, and dream about.
