I saw this type of bridges with different side height on many Levin Mandolins. Sometimes the higher part of the saddle was on the side of the G strings, sometimes on the side of the E strings. Does anyone know the right direction? The higher part on the G string side works well for me.
The G side should be higher as this string is thicker and at lower frequencies, so it wil swing a wider distance than the E string risking touching the fret.
