Just listened to your link and looking forward to listening to other episodes. It's nice to be reminded that the mandolin cafe, as well as being a superlative resource for mandolin enthusiasts, is also a great website for music enthusiasts more generally. Is also great to be reminded that the BBC still has some really interesting output. I'm worried for its future in this fast changing world. BBC4, the traditional tv channel (post BBC2) for more intelligent output, has really gone downhill of late.

Music does seem to be part of the human condition, and this series seems to explore this idea.
