Default Classical / Neopolitan Mando Builders in North America?

Hey I'm wondering if anyone knows of classical builders in North America? This doesn't necessarily need to be a builder of bowlbacks, but I love European folk music so I want a mandolin that can enhance my growing obsession.

From some of the research I've done, the Nyberg Lyon & Healy style mandos might be a good fit? However, I've never heard one played in person.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

You might want to confer with Mr. Nyberg about the Lyon & Healy. The original LH's were unique and few replica builders try to duplicate the actual contruction - rather they simply duplicate the external appearance. So if you are looking for an original LH sound you might ask Mr. Nyberg about the construction. One of the few builders who has completely dissected an LH in order to accurately duplicate the construction is Peter Coombe in Australia. His website provides some excellent background info on this subject.

Also, I have had two instruments built and shipped to me from outside the country with absolutely no issues - so if you do not find a US builder you might possibly consider a non-US builder.

Wow, these are beautiful instruments. The website says his wait-list is 5 years out! Popular builder. Thanks for the rec.

I play one of Ernie Fishbach's European style instruments:
