Well, it's an A-900, which was pretty much top of the Alvarez line in the 1970-80's "Tree of Life" inlay on the fretboard, gold-plated and engraved tailpiece; I can't dig up catalog specs on it, but I'm pretty sure it's all solid woods, carved top -- maybe even hand-carved -- one of the better Japanese instruments from 40+ years ago.

There are quite a few A-900's being offered on the internet, with asking prices in the $750-$1K range. (By the way, you've posted a headstock pic of your Michael Kelly by mistake.) Without actually seeing its condition, I'd defer recommending you price it in that range, but in playable condition I'd think it would bring significantly over $500.

I am working on a truss rod repair of one of this model. Can you tell me what size the truss rod nut is? Is there a wrench with your mandolin?
