Default Best Cases for Temperature/Humidity Control

Looking to replace my original rectangle case for my F5-Fern. I do not go out much nor do I fly, so I am looking for temperature/humidity protection. Which case(s) would you recommend?

    Thank you

Hiscox claims their cases offer the best thermal protection. They are flight cases, ruggedly built, and reasonably priced.

Why not add better humidity/temperature where you store it at home? Treating one room might be the a solution.

I don't know about best, but as the freeze was descending on Houston, I cased all of my instruments and put them up off the floor. My Calton cased instruments didn't even lose tuning.

Use any case and then put it in a plasticbag and seal it.

Question Re: Best Cases for Temperature/Humidity Control

keep it cool? Maybe a white fiberglas Eastman ? (rubber edge seals will keep the rain out) .

I note white cars are popular in the middle east ..

Well, watching the unpacking of Byron Berline's Loar after that horrific ordeal of fire and flood, I'd have to say a Mark Leaf case, latched up, will do you just fine.

Question Re: Best Cases for Temperature/Humidity Control

That may be a bit over the top for someone stating: "I do not go out much, nor do I fly" ..
but a graphic anecdote.. of a touring professional, with a 'holy grail' precious mandolin..

Pegasus cases are in a similar category . A also lot heavier than needed for a homebody ..

unsaid is what humidity is foreseen? Low (Wood Heated house, in the winter Snow?) Or High , Warm, Tropical ..

Another vote for a Hiscox - I moved back to Ireland last year from California and have gone from a climate controlled, insulated apartment to a 150 year old stone cottage. My '69 Martin 00-18 lives in a Hiscox case and is always in perfect tune when I take it out, no buzzing etc. The case is also light, which is a plus. If I hadn't managed to pick up a second hand Price case for my Girouard I would definitely have gotten it a Hiscox.

And yet one more for Hiscox. Unfortunately my Small Dog case cover doesn’t fit. I liked to use the case cover for RV travel when nearly no control of humidity exists.
