Hi Janice. I'm not in Long Island but I'd love to help you out! I'm up in Warwick, NY (Orange county), so not impossibly far away and there's always Zoom too, so maybe a hybrid model mixing live and virtual lessons? Anyway, I'd be happy to learn more about the specifics of what you're looking for and see if we can't craft a model for lessons that makes sense. Drop me a note and let's talk! My contact info is over in the ad I placed in the Café classifieds ...

Thanks! I'll hope to hear from you soon! 🙂

I am a ranker beginner (thanks MC for adding me!), and I just took my first lesson from Wayne Fugate. He is an hour from NYC, but I did a Zoom lesson with him as I am in Detroit. Wayne was fantastic! He gave me hope that I can actually learn my way around this great little instrument. Google his name and you'll find him.

You'll find no better teacher/mentor than the legendary Andy Statman who lives in Brooklyn. He does lessons in person and on-line. Visit his website at andystatman.org

Not only one of the greatest players ever but an equally superb teacher...
