    Default Hill Country Stringworks

Any body know what's going on with the Hill Country Stringworks website? I tried to bring up the website to order an armrest and got a message that said I couldn't log in. Never used to have to log in. I emailed Doug and didn't get a readable reply. Thanks for any insight.

Doug posted here recently (last week maybe) about how they were having issues with their website and trying to sort them out ASAP.

As Jill said, there are website issues. Was stated on the Facebook page that new items will be for sale here in the classifieds as well as on Facebook.

He also said not to order off the website, lucky you couldn't get it to work, it hasn't been for a while and your order would not have gone thru.

I had emailed him last week and he responded a few days later. He is currently "out of the office" but will be back in a week or two.

Hi guys, yes the website is down and I’m out of town until May 12th. I’ll be getting with a web developer to build a new website when I return. He’s checking into it and hopefully it can be up and running soon. As said, we’ll list new products on the Cafe as they become available.

    Thanks for you continued support.

BTW, David McClung is in the shop to take inlay requests. He’s doing a great job with inlays. He just finished a pick box with a Fender Mustang

I used the new website Monday to buy an armrest and it showed up in the mailbox on Wednesday! Great service.

My Father's Day present finally got unboxed earlier today. I got ebonized rosewood to keep the look more in line with the rest of the well-used look of the instrument, as well the sunburst coloring. (I did concede to the gold look hardware to match the tuners and tailpiece.)

Works great - helping keep my wrist from planting itself on the bridge.

To good to be true, our email is down. Got working to receive but we can’t send at present. We hope to have this corrected soon.

The big problem is we changed over from our past server and now lost all our email history! If you have something pending with us please resend your last email.
    Thanks

I ordered a lefty ebony for my MT.

LOVE IT. It is so much more comfortable to play, can't believe I waited so long.

As a side note, I leave it on when putting the mandolin in the gold hardware green interior case, doesn't seem like an issue yet.

Just received a new abbreviated pick guard from Doug. Enjoyable to work with, listened to what I wanted and provided it quickly at a great price.
Beautiful work, I highly recommend them!

Another day in paradise, thanks for the support. The past couple months have been challenging. We finally got past the website being down and the email issue. We lost all of our email history but only a few missed customers. That being said, we have an inlaid McClung we can’t find our customer. If this is yours please contact us otherwise we’ll be left to put it up for sale. We can always make another.
