Thread: Online or local San Diego Teachers

Default Online or local San Diego Teachers

So, lifelong guitarist, mostly electric, prog rock / prog metal guy. Excellent right hand technique. Just took up mandolin a couple of months ago, and I have some odd gaps in my technique. First, I only have a handful of chords, scales are coming pretty easy. I am troping towards Irish/Folk/Modern/Classical. I dig on listenting to folks play Bluegrass, but I don't think that's going to be my kettle of fish. So, someone I know wants to gift me some lessons, so I need to find a good online / zoom instructor or someone local in San Diego. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

    Great thanks,
    Doug

You could ask the San Diego Mandolin Orchestra. I'm sure their members are connected to plenty of mandolin teachers:

I live in San Diego (Ocean Beach). Been teaching for about 20 years at this point and have a pretty wide variety of musical tastes myself. I play everything from Bill Monroe to Steely Dan I'm open for online or in person lessons depending on where in SD you are.
