I didn't, until I got this new-to-me mandocello. It is a big, loud, resonant, beautiful but uncompromising instrument. It has a 25 3/4 inch scale and a 1 3/4 inch nut, so you either get your left hand moving well, or go home and shut up. The bridge has no adjustment, and there are no marking inlays on any of the frets - not the 5th, 7th, or even 12th. So you have to play this instrument the way IT wants -- but if you do, it rewards you.
Therefore, it made sense to name it after a Klingon warrior. I call her K'ehleyr.
