for F I like
F 5 3 0 1 - you can omit the one or simply do the 53 double-stop
you can bar Bbm as 3346 and move it up and down the fretboard.
Am is 2235 A Major is 2245, you can move these up and down the fret board

And Bb? Bb Eb F? Same shapes without flattening the 3rd?
for E bar the 3 note chord is preferred but the 4 note works
Ebm 3 4 6 (6)
so you could
F 5 7 8 (8)
slide down two frets
Eb 3 5 6 (6)
change fingers
Bb 3 3 5 6

I really like to use 422X for Em so if I'm in Ebm, I just slide back to 311X. That voicing has a really nice bassy chop to it and also works well transitioning into melody in the E minor or Eb minor minor scales respectively.

Sherry, the A major chord mentioned, 2245, the major third is at the 4th fret A string.
The A minor chord, 2235, the minor third (flatted third) is at the third fret A string.

A lawyer´s answer: It depends.
Long neck mandolin vs. short neck mandolin: (I play different chords on my short neck Strad-O-Lin than on my expensive F-style mandolin).
It´s all in a song: I would allways prefer to play chrods close together on the fretboard. This helps to keep the fingering together. So it depends on which chord comes first or may follow the chords that you´re talking about.
In the end it´s also a matter of personal preference. What sounds the best to you?

Just something to think about...you can use a great Gm7 voicing to play the Bb, unless you don't like the sound of a 6th chord. That's 0011. Ebm played 346x can function as Gb6. And playing a Dm7, 7788, also works as F6. Chords are a lot of fun, especially once you start using sixes, sevens, other extensions and alterations.
