    Lovely, their mellow tone works really well with piezo systems. Mandolins with Thomastiks are also excellent mic'd up, as long as you're not looking for a "straight Bluegrass" or that "I'm not a mandolin player but the engineer handed me one so I'll add some random jangle to this pop song" tone.
