Default Engleman Ellis F5 at Gruhn

Was wondering if any of you Nashvillains (or visitors) have gotten a chance to play that amazing looking Engleman Ellis F5 at Gruhn's? I don't believe Tom usually builds with Engleman so I was curious as to the tonal qualities it has. Sure is a clean and amazing-looking mandolin...

Holy cow, that is a beautiful instrument.
    Love the woods used.
    Stunning top and back.

It is listed on their website as having an Engelmann top.
Must just be a mistake on Gruhn's side.

Can you really trust the builder?

The silking on that top is stunning.

Wow, that is absolutely amazing! Can't figure out if I love the top or the back more.
A quarter tone flat and a half a beat behind.
