Is that old chewing gum on the back of the headstock?

I’m thinking “home-made” is probably more accurate. Maybe a kit build once?

$187 and change just now. Seems optimistic but has to be pleasing to the Goodwill folks.

Handmade? I doubt it. Looks like a generic budget Asian import maybe 1970s. The high bidder is overpaying already.

This instrument has not been tested for playability or sound quality. <snip> Dust, wear, grime, sticker residue, corrosion on the metal, scratches, and scuffing is present. Bridge, strings, one tuning peg knob, and tailpiece cover are not included.
    Ah, the joys of Shopgoodwill!

Looks like glue from an oval dealer logo, maybe, that used to be there. But please don't ask me to taste it!

Wow! $202 plus (for me) estimated $2o shipping and handling and still 5 days+ to go? What are these bidders seeing that I am not?

Well, Brad was smart to have not put this in the "this week's mandolin that won't get a bid or buyer" thread.

Between GC, Goodwill, and Ebay, they've given a whole new meaning to the word "vintage."

Think they could use the word vintage on this one!

    That's more like it.
Worth a bid by someone who would like a decent A model. If the new owner will replace the support rod for the pickguard immediately, it looks like the rest of the guard may survive intact.

I don't know how many of y'all have noticed, but the supply of pre-war Gibson mandolins and flat top guitars and pre-war Martin flat tops in decent condition is drying up.
